CHawk Adds Critical Capabilities and Expands Geographic Reach through Acquisitions of B2 Machining & Welding and Quality Plating

Hayward, California – CHawk Technology International (“CHawk”), a leading supplier of critical components, assemblies and gold plating used in Semiconductor manufacturing, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisitions of B2 Machining & Welding LLC (“B2”) and Quality Plating & Sheetmetal Fabrication (“Quality Plating”). These important acquisitions add capabilities including orbital welding and metal machining and expand CHawk’s gold plating and surface treatment capabilities in Southeast Asia.

Quality Plating & Sheetmetal Fabrication (name changed to GTI Vietnam)

CHawk announced that it acquired Vietnam-based Quality Plating in October 2022. With this acquisition, CHawk expands its special processing capabilities including gold plating, anodizing, passivation, electroless nickel, chemical cleaning and metal polishing in Asia.

CHawk offers its gold plating services under the Gold Tech Industries (“GTI”) brand. GTI, which CHawk acquired in 2021, is based in Tempe, AZ. The Quality Plating acquisition represents an expansion of capability, capacity and geographical footprint to meet its global customers’ requirements.

Quality Plating was established in 2018 and has invested significant time and capital into automated plating and polishing equipment.

As of the acquisition, the Vietnam business will operate under the GTI Vietnam brand name.

B2 Machining & Welding LLC

CHawk announced that it acquired B2 in December 2022. Founded in 2014 and based in Fremont, CA, B2 offers ultra high purity (UHP) stainless steel (SST) orbital welding, tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, precision metal machining, swiss screw machining and assembly work.

B2 represents an expansion of CHawk’s capabilities to further serve its customers’ metal machining and UHP SST welding requirements.
